Maya – 2 months old, xmas and stuff
Well I’m a bit late with Maya’s 2 month update but we’ve been very busy with my dad visiting, christmas and working on the house.
This month she’s really become sociable, smiling and giggling with everyone. She also likes having conversations with people, her favourite word being “agoo”. She thinks it’s hilarious if you touch her bottom lip, pretending to make a wibble noise and this will usually get a big smile and an agoo. She’s started showing interest in her books and toys and also likes watching TV.
Had a lot of firsts this month after finally being allowed out of the house after her one month and one week ceremony. She’s had her first trip out to a cafe, first shopping trip, first trip to the beach and of course first xmas.
She’s sleeping a lot better at night now, usually only waking up a couple of times and it’s a lot easier to tell what she wants when she cries. She tends to get shouty when she’s tired. She’s still resisting sleep a lot though as it is obviously much more fun to stay up and see what’s going on rather than sleep!
She’s a very active baby in general and just won’t stay still – she’s normally kicking constantly when she’s awake. She’s also desperate to crawl although obviously nowhere near strong enough to do so, if I put her on her front she puts her knees up and pushes like crazy. She never stays where I put her down to sleep now – when I wake up in the middle of the night to feed her she’s usually edged her way across the bed and spun round 90 degrees.
We had a barbecue for xmas day over at the new house. It was great having my dad and Sue here and this year I actually bought a tree and got presents for all the kiddies so it was somewhat like a real xmas. Duta was so excited when he saw that santa had been and left a load of presents under the tree
